Welcome to Hoy Plus Trading
Sourced exclusively from the renowned Boswellia papyrifera trees of the Ethiopian Highlands, our premium Gum Olibanum is hand-sorted to ensure a 100% bark-free, professional-grade resin.
Olibanum, which is globally recognized as Frankincense and locally known as luban, is a prized aromatic resin harvested from the scraggy but remarkably hardy Boswellia Papyrifera tree.
The resin is collected through a careful process known as striping, where the bark is strategically slashed to encourage the oleo-gum to bleed out and harden on the tree. These formations of hardened resin are called tears, which typically present as irregular nodules ranging in color from a pale greenish hue to rich yellow. These tears form a solid, crystalline mass that may yield a slightly plastic quality when pressed.
"Derived from the mountainous terrains of the Ethiopian Highlands, anchoring a 4,000-year legacy of global trade."
